Today’s photo is the light of our life… our beautiful daughter Gracie! She’s 15 months old today so I am honoring her with this adorable photo!!
beading details on a dress I have.
(FYI: This dress is for sale as well as 2 other dresses! Perfect for proms and bridesmaid dresses! If you or anyone you know might be interested and want to see the full length photos, let me know!)
Hi everyone! If I could have just a minute of your time, I’d really appreciate it!
On February 13th, 2011 – me and some others will be participating for our 2nd year in the “Rochester Polar Plunge”. This event is to benefit the Special Olympics! We need your help and support again this year! Please click the following link to go to our team homepage. We’re team CHILLY CHAMPS! You can browse around the site to learn more about this great cause and if you’re able to – please donate! Absolutely any amount helps!
We had so much fun doing the Polar Plunge last year and can’t wait to go again this year! Here is the link to our page and just a couple photos from last year’s event:

Here we are coming out of the freezing waters. A great feeling to be helping others!
Beautiful flag from Ridge Road Station! (which, according to their website, is the largest flag and flagpole outside of Texas!) It looks so beautiful on windy days when it’s blowing around!
We took Gracie outside to play in the snow today.. so we were walking around the backyard and saw tons of these twisty little twigs on the branches
Photographing the perfect water droplets is much more challenging than I had originally anticipated!
Had a really busy day today, so I didn’t get a chance to capture much… But I think cardinals are beautiful and they really stand out against winter’s snow! (sorry for all of the distracting trees…. The cardinal was in the neighbors yard and her house is surrounded by trees!)
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who has supported me and to those who are following the blog! I have over 800 views now!! I truly appreciate the support and encouragement from everyone! It makes reaching your dreams so much easier when you there is so many people standing beside you and “cheering” you on! I love you all I know I have learned so much so far and have so much more I want to learn about my passion, photography! Can’t wait to keep sharing with all of you!!

PS: Don’t worry – today's photo will be up later!
I took these 4 individual photos tonight and put them together in a storyboard. I wanted to practice with different light photography. This is SO fun! Hope you enjoy!
Decided to use my glasses for today’s photo. I had a horrible migraine and I put these on and it eased my pain… just a bit.
Today’s photo is a good ol’ turkey burger! We’re trying to switch to healthier foods and on good recommendation from many people, we gave turkey burgers a try. They were delicious!
Today’s photo theme is “lighting a candle to honor lost loved ones”… Today would be our Papa’s birthday. Unfortunately, he is no longer with us but always watching down on us. Happy Birthday Papa!!
Spaghetti before & after. Who doesn’t LOVEEE some delicious spaghetti?! Tony will be so happy when he gets home!!
Today’s photo is a special one! This is a wooden giraffe that I got from Papa Lang’s personal items after he passed away a year and 1/2 ago. It also came with several other wooden animals. His birthday is coming up in a few days so this is to honor him
Absolutely Almond Pound Cake (from Tastefully Simple). I am trying to dive into the world of food photography a little more. It’s challenging but so much fun too!
I decided to give the "365 Project" a try! It's a great way to keep track of my progress and what better day to start than January 1st, 2011. (1-1-11... now make a wish!) I'm excited about this challenge and to share this with all of you :)
I have always had an interest in photography but over the last 5 years, I have become more passionate about it. I've done traditional film photography, including developing in the darkroom, but I really prefer digital.
Photography has really helped to open my eyes to a whole different world and see the beauty of things that one wouldn't normally notice, or even pay attention to. When I say the beauty of things - I don't necessarily mean the actual appearance of the subject either - it's more the story behind it.
I think it's important to capture special memories of important events too; such as weddings, birthdays or even a family camping trip. Having those memories to look back on become so important when we're faced with hard times, or even loss.
So thanks for taking the time to read a little bit about a big part of my life. I hope you will follow me through my 365 project! CHEERS TO A NEW YEAR!
